The Best Dressed Men of the 2024 Oscars

The menswear spirit of style was fresh and sophisticated at The 96th Academy Awards. This year, on the red carpet, the nominees were confident and polished -with award-worthy looks for the most famous men in the world.

And, speaking of Hollywood’s most famous men, there is a figure that stands at just 13.5 inches tall, weighs only 8.5 pounds, and goes by just one name: Oscar. The statuette is awarded annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and is one of the highest honors in the film industry.

The first Academy Awards ceremony took place in May 1929 in the Blossom Room of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, and introduced the gold-plated, solid-bronze statuette that has been an iconic Hollywood image ever since. Motion picture art director Cedric Gibbons designed it, and sculptor George Stanley brought to life the knight holding a crusader’s sword, standing on a reel of film. The film reel’s five spokes represent the original five branches of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences: actors, directors, producers, technicians, and writers.

And while some men prefer to keep it tailored and traditional others prefer to add a touch of panache. Just take one look at Ryan Gosling standout performance wearing a single-breasted custom Gucci pink wool suit embellished with all over hand-embroidered crystal drops, matching trousers, silk crepe tonal plain shirt, pink leather custom gloves, black leather lace ups shoes and Gucci Eyewear sunglasses.
