HUBLOT UNVEILS ITS FIFA WORLD CUP CAMPAIGN STARRING 15 FOOTBALL LEGENDS:

The countdown begins! With roughly 2 months to go the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 kicks off, Hublot is unveiling the #HublotLovesFootball campaign featuring some legends past and present.The Swiss watchmaker continues its commitment as the Official TImekeeper of the World Cup with a new Big Bang and a colorful campaign with Lebanese designer Mira Mikati.

The new Hublot Big Bang e FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ is a Gen3 connected watch, with a large high-def screen that delivers real-time information about the games to the wearer. Customers will also be able to personalize it with the colors of the 32 participating countries. As a game kicks off, the watch will enter “match mode” and activate “timeline”, a feature created exclusively for this watch that will help fans capture the most important moments in football. At any point during a game, the wearer can replay these events by scrolling around the dial using the watch’s crown. This functionality is unique to the Big Bang FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

The modifications of the timepiece is a blend of fine watchmaking techniques and high-end electronics. For example, the 44mm case in micro-blasted and polished black ceramic and black titanium echoes the Hublot mechanical watch icon, the Big Bang. The Qualcomm® Snapdragon Wear™ 4100 processor powered with the latest version of Wear OS by Google™ (Wear OS3). A dedicated tailor-made app offers the wearer a seamless experience second to none.

The official timekeepers for the world’s most-watched event in sports history, Hublot will set to time all 64 matches, reaching to the pinnacle in the final at Doha’s Lusail Stadium on December 18th, 2022. And there is even more creative excitement this year as Hublot brought on Lebanese fashion designer Mira Mikati to design the Hublot Loves Football campaign. Mira sat down with all 15 footballers and coaches to create hand-drawn and painted footballs that are pieces of art in their own right. Her creative goal was to bring out each person’s personality to come to life on the balls. “Just as football sparks joy on the pitch, I want my work to be a constant supply of happiness,” shares the designer. Aiming to generate a positive ambience, her hand-drawn designs communicate the spirit of camaraderie and capture the excitement of the tournament.

The colorful campaign proudly features 15 Hublot ambassadors and friends of the brand, each of which created unique designs to represent the football of their dreams. More to the point, each piece of art captures a glance into the personalities of athletes themselves – including the inspiration that set them out to reach their goals. For example, US footballer Alex Morgan’s ball brings a touch of California sunshine to the table whereas bold colors reflect the life journey of French striker Kylian Mbappé.

In 2006, Hublot became the first fine watchmaking brand to enter into the football arena.
